Archbishop Wood’s Leave of Absence

Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Upper Midwest,

I am writing to give this most recent update from the Province. Yesterday the ACNA announced that Archbishop Steve Wood has chosen to take a voluntary leave of absence until canonical proceedings to address recent allegations against him are resolved. He wrote, “For the health and witness of the Church, it is critical to take every allegation of misconduct seriously and to ensure that the mission of the church proceeds without interruption.”

You can read the Archbishop’s letter describing his decision.

As we wait and pray for the Archbishop’s process to unfold, let us keep our eyes on the Lord. Please pray with me for the claimants, those leading the Archbishop’s inquiry, Archbishop Wood and his family, and Bishops Sutton and Dobbs as they guide our Province.

Love,

+Stewart
