Our Story

We are bound for revival.

We are committed to planting a revival of Word and Sacrament infused by the Holy Spirit across the Upper Midwest.

The diocese at a glance

  • Established in June 2013
  • A Regional Diocese in the Anglican Church in North America
  • Headquartered at Church of the Resurrection in Wheaton, IL
  • Currently: 13 diocesan churches and 5 missions
  • Churches in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, South Dakota, and Wisconsin

Where we see need

We want more people to be part of healthy spiritual families.

We desire to see more movement-minded churches in the Upper Midwest where:

  • people experience deep community with Jesus and one another,
  • listening to the Spirit is an intimate part of the culture,
  • people’s unique gifts are used for God’s mission, and
  • spiritual parents nurture new followers of Jesus.

What we want to see

Boundless revival through Jesus and His Church.

We are one diocesan home made up of distinct worshiping communities—rural, urban, suburban, and storefront—from a variety of socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. But together, cared for by the same bishop, united in mission and vision, we are building a movement where people can experience boundlessness: limitless love in Jesus, unification through vision, and being equipped for new things.

How we’re getting there

Planting a revival.

The more bound we are to Christ, the freer we are for His transforming work in us and through us. So we start and lead churches—rooted in Word and Sacrament infused by the power of the Holy Spirit— so that people can be united with Jesus and His Church. In addition to planting churches, we also:

We’re following the Spirit, who’s limitless and on the move.
